In revenge for the humiliation suffered by his ambassadors at the hands of Hanun, David sends his army to attack Hanun and the Syrians.  Details show:  1 -three saddles showing tooling work on the leather. 2 -Heater shield 3 -Heater shield with heraldic markings.  4 -example of the relative ineffectiveness of armour.  5 -dagger with a very ornate pommel and crossguard.  6 -length of a battle axe shaft as compared to the size of the knight wielding it.  7 -two Norman helms, no nasal piece.   8 -horseman's spur, complete with leather retaining strap.  9 -round battle shield called a buckler/roundel/rondel. David and his knights attack the Syrians and kill their captain, Shobach.  Details show:  1 -heater shield. 2 -Heater shield with heraldic markings.  3 -heater shield 4 -round battle shield called a buckler/roundel/rondel.  5 -round battle shield called a buckler/roundel/rondel.  6 -heater shield with rounded top corners.  7 -a Mace 8 -single-hand sword9 -single-hand sword with wrapped grip in a scabbard.  10 -dagger with a very clear leather-wrapped grip, ornate pommel and guard.  11 -Maciejowski Helm12 -Norman helm with engraved lines.

David, looking out his balcony window, sees Bathsheba bathing.  He orders his messenger to bring her to him.  Details show:  1 -door handle/latch 2 -iron reinforcing strap on a wooden door.  3 -decorative iron reinforcing straps on window shutters.  4 -iron door hinge 5 -very ornate iron door key lock hole.  6 -wooden, barrel-style bath tub.  7 -cooking kettle. David and Bathsheba commit adultery together..  Details show:  1 -curtains, rod, rings and "tieback" rods.  2 -tall, three-legged candelabra with lions feet. After the adulterous affair, David sends for Bathsheba's husband, Uriah, a Hittite.  Details show:  1 -excellent view of a knight's battle accoutrements, including sword and sword-belt.  2 -horseman's spur and leather retaining strap.  3 -excellent view of an armored knight. The attached maille coif can be seen hanging over his back.
