Aaron's Staff The water The frogs Lice and flies
God turns Aaron's staff into a serpent before Pharaoh. Aaron turns the water into blood with his staff. Detail shows:  example of alternate way of carrying lengthy cloak: picked up from one side, draped across opposite forearm. Aaron brings forth the plague of the frogs upon the land. Detail shows: side profile of typical period footwear. Aaron brings forth the plague of lice and flies upon Egypt.  (insects appear as small white "X's" in the dirt under Aaron's staff).  Details show: 1 -a profile of another style of period footwear and 2 -design-style of a chair.

The murrain Hail and locusts Passover Pharaoh frees the Israelites
God infects Egypt's cattle and all other livestock with the disease "Murrain". Moses brings forth hail and swarms of locusts upon the land.  Detail shows: another profile of the "open top, laced in front" period footwear. Symbol of protection painted on all Israelite doorways. Angel of death slays all Egyptian first-born males.   Details show: 1 - paint "brush"/stylus, 2 -a hand-knife used to slay the lamb (for the blood) and 3 -a classic "cruciform" style of sword with round pommel (used to slay Egyptian "first-born")
